Calacatta marble in an Interior Designer's Kitchen

This amazing kitchen is in Interior Designer, Jacqueline Corea's own home.
The countertops are honed Calacatta marble with a Waterfall edge on the island.
I could live and die in this kitchen I just love it so much.

She designed a sliding panel made of marble to hide her recessed spice racks.
This is such a great detail aesthetically and functionally.

Go here to see the rest of Corea's beautiful home.
Also, check out more of her work here on her website and here on her blog.

Jacquline's kitchen is gorgeous! Love the waterfall island, and that sliding marble door is genius! I'm also loving those little square windows above the cabinets & stove. Such a great look :-)

So beautiful!!! I love the sliding cabinet, wonderful idea! Is the marble hard to maintain in the kitchen in regards to cooking etc? I know Marble can be very porous.
