Pantone's 2011 Color of the Year

This year we've seen Pantone's Color of the Year, Turquoise, EVERYWHERE.
I'm sure you've heard that last week Pantone announced the Color of the Year for 2011 as Honeysuckle.
They chose the color for its ability to instill “the confidence, courage and spirit to meet the exhaustive challenges that have become part of everyday life.”

How do you think this will translate in Kitchens and Baths?

You could go all out and do Compac's Fucsia countertops.

I think it will be a great accent color with white quartz, grey quartzCarrera marble or Absolute Black granite countertops in both kitchens and bathrooms.

You have to be careful with this color in a kitchen or bath, you don't want to go overboard and be all  Barbie about it.
I talked about Pink Kitchens a few months ago, you can read it here.

So, tell me what you think.  Love or hate 2011's Color of the Year?

I'm not a big fan of pink, but I do like this more vibrant, fuchsia-like shade :-) Don't know if I'll be using it in my home, though.

The pink countertop is pretty cool!

Hey Kelly--
I am a pink girl, so I have to say I was excited about this color!
I don't think we'll see NEAR the popularity of this year's turquoise though.

I personally like pink, but not when it comes to decorating. It is pretty trendy. I do like the bathroom shown. In my opinion, itt would we nice for a teenager, or young girl. I really don't think we will be selling too many pink kitchens next year. Nice pics!
