Slab Sunday: River White granite

River White is quarried from a bedrock quarry in India.
This granite is a great alternate to white marble.
Overall it's white with grey, blue and taupe veining.  There are burgundy garnets in it as well, some slabs having more than others.  The pattern and veining are more linear like a marble, I think that's why it's been so popular.
The slabs are generally quite large.  This is good because you'll have less seams in your kitchen and can use this color if you have a really large island that you are trying to accommodate without a seam.

River White can vary quite a bit in color and veining, so be sure to select your exact slabs!

Recently we have had the most beautiful selection of River White that I've ever seen. I walked in our shop the other day and about fell over when I saw this gorgeous island (pictures below) being fabricated.  The coloring and pattern are stunning.
