Slab Sunday: Verde Tunas granite

Verde Tunas is quarried in a bedrock quarry in Brazil.

Verde Tunas actually comes from the same quarry as Seafoam Green granite.
From Arizona Tile...
"It is composed mainly of dark green medium crystals. Lava, at extremely high temperatures, traveled through tubes in the earth millions of years ago, and forced the green pigment into the surrounding bedrock, which is quarried as Seafoam Green. The lava settled at the surface of the earth and slowly cooled, which created Verde Tunas."

It is a beautifully green granite that has black, gold and cream specks.

Verde Tunas is also called Tunas Green, New Tunas Green and Verde Tunis.

Verde Tunas is available in 2 cm and 3 cm slabs.
