Parade Home #10. The Kitchen!

The Utah Valley Parade of Homes started last Friday.  While I haven't been to all the homes yet, the homes I have been to are really great.  If you have a chance you definitely should check the Parade out this year.
We did the countertops in Homes #7 and #10.
For the rest of this week I'll be sharing photos of Home #10 built by EBuilders
Today we'll be looking at the beautiful kitchen.
The homeowners are not only really great people, they also have a wonderful sense of style.  They did a fantastic job designing this home.
Isn't this kitchen amazing?!?  I really love it.
The countertops on the perimeter are CaesarStone quartz, the color is Absolute Noir (#6100).  The edge detail is a 2 1/2" Miter.
They used a simple white subway tile on the backsplash.  This is a great clean and classic look.
I also love the apple green color they used as their accent color.  It makes the area look so fresh and modern.
On the island they selected the stunning Abismo Negro granite.   The island is definitely the focal point of the kitchen.  It's ginormous, we used almost two full slabs just on the island!
The edge detail on the island is a chunky 5" Mitered Apron.  This is a pretty large edge, but the room itself is so large (with high ceilings) that the thicker edge really grounds the area.  It doesn't seem too thick at all.

The seam is down the middle of the piece and while this particular material is harder to seam than most granites because of the high mica content, the seam looks really good and is hardly noticeable.
Stay tuned for more pictures of this beautiful home throughout the week!

Wow! This kitchen is stunning!!!
I don't know how I could love it more. The Abissmo granite is so pretty, I've never seen it before.
And those huge mitres? AWESOME!
I wish I lived in Utah so I could go see it in real life!!!

Gorgeous! I like the mix of the Caesarstone with the granite.
I'm really going to have to make an effort to go to the POH's this year.
