Linear Tile Backsplashes in the Kitchen

First I want to say how much I love the Houzz website.  You may have noticed a lot of the images I use here on the blog come from Houzz.
Today I wanted to do a post about Linear Tile Backsplashes.  I was going to search and search the internet looking for awesome images, but I thought I'd start with Houzz.  Well, I ended with Houzz too.  I found so many great images there I didn't have to or want to go anywhere else!
If you are a homeowner looking for ideas...this is a community for you to join.  You'll be inspired and find a gazillion ideas.
If you are a designer or architect you really should start a portfolio.  It's a fantastic place to get your work out there.

Anyway, this wasn't supposed to be an advertisement for Houzz today.
What I really wanted to talk about is Linear Tile Backsplashes.  This is a trend we have seen for the past few years and I think it's only going to be bigger this year.

I love the look of the linear tile backsplash.  Whether it is natural stone, glass, metal or a porcelain or ceramic tile.
Here are some examples, all from Houzz.

So, what do you think of the Linear Backsplash?  Is it a style you would use in your home?

The Amoroso Design kitchen is lovely. I love the long and skinny version of subway tile: classic but modern = timeless.

I so agree Erin. Subway tile is a great timeless option. Add the skinny version and it's a great update to the classic!
